Latika's Theme from the Slumdog Millionaire Soundtrack is the prettiest song ever. I've been listening to it on loop for the past hour or so and I can't help but replay the last scene of the movie over and over in my head...you know, when Latika and Jamal FINALLY get together :-)

Spring Break-NYC Style

My "spring" break is less than 2 weeks away. It's going to be a much needed break from the school routine of reading and writing constantly. Since I'm not going anywhere I decided to do my own thing and explore parts of NYC that I've never been to and revisit some old favorites :-)

Valentine's Day

Now, as you may recall from my last V-Day post, I'm not a huge fan of it. I do, however, love lingerie and around Valentine's Day in particular is when the best of it comes out. Every girl likes feeling cute and lingerie is one of the best ways to achieve that goal. For example, even if I wear the most boring jeans and tshirt, some lacy undies make me feel damn sexy. Yes! Garters and stockings...there's nothing sexier and more glamorous in my opinion. I love the mix of satin and mesh. It's like a little game of conceal and reveal.


Black lace is synonymous with seduction ;-)


Oh look, a romper. CUTE! Maybe not a man's idea of sexy. This is more girl sexy. I'd like to think that I would lounge around in it on a Sunday while reading the paper and doing the crossword. What's 3 across?

This has a very playful feel. It's simple but the black bows add a nice touch. Oh yes, let's not forget about the garters :-)

Confession: Valentine's Day is not looking too bad right now.

Oh the weather outside is frightful...but I'm already looking forward to a new season. Damn season-pushing! The stores are already starting to get their new spring arrivals in and I can't help but feel elated at the sight of soft colors and airy fabrics. Sadly, my wardrobe still consists of heavy coats, scarves, and boots.

These shoes are cute and fun. The multi-colored ruffle is a very nice touch. They are begging to be paired with a pretty dress or a flippy skirt. And the best part? They cost under 30 bucks.

I love high heels and fun colors. These are perfection.

Such a pretty top. It's ethereal and girly. It also comes in a dreamy lavender-periwinkle color. I can picture it paired with some skinny jeans a flat sandal, maybe with some fancy chandelier earrings.

Another amazing dress, in a beautiful color. It looks supercomfy.
